TT-ATLAS-TGC-carbon-surface page

This page shows a couple of trials and results for the ATLAS-endcap muon trigger chamber TGC carried out by TT. Especially on the cathode surface of the TGC which is painted by carbon.

Those test painted plates are made by K. Ishi. The sizes of them are 3 x 8 cm ^2 .

We find here the less the surface registivity the smaller the granuarity.

The depth of the holes (this means almost the thickness of the carbon paint) is around 5-7microns.

The size of the holes depends on the surface registvity as described above. Measurement is carried out on the red line and the results are shown as a green line in the picture.

The 3-D pictures are in the same magnification.
