cable tag memo 2/sep/03 TT

put a tag at the both ends of a cable,the format of a tag is as follows ;
[Mi-fi-Ti-EWi]=(L)=[N-X-mi], where [] shows a connector, = shows cable and () shows length in meter. The directions of these tags indicate the corresponding connector-ends. We expect multi tags at the same place of a cables around it.

To identify easily, we put similar tags at the PSPACK sides and ASD sides.

a typical tag looks like this:
[M1-f0-T7-EW2]=(2.0)=[1-b-m1]

[M1-f0-T7-EW2]
the first "M1" means the Big wheel name, as M1,M2 or M3
we do not care about the side either A or C.
the second "f0" means phi-position in 1/24 or 1/48,
when in 1/24, fi=f0,f1,f2 or f3, in 1/48, f0=f0 or f1. Either 1/24 or 1/48 unit is not yet decided.
the third "T7" means the TGC type, as T1,T2, T3, T4, T5,T6, T7 or T8
F(Forward) or B(Backward) is clearly defined.
the fourth "EW2" means the ASD name, as EWi (i=0,1,,,13 for M1, i=0,1,,,,18 for M2/M3 endcap wires.) , FWi (i+0,1,2,...7 for forward wires) , ESi (i=0,1...,7 for M1 and i=0,1...9 for M2/M3 endcap.) , FSi (i=0,1, for M1/M2/M3) for strip read out.

(2.0) means the length of a cable in meter unit.

[1-b-m1] this shows the position of the PS-Pack position ,
as a format [N-X-mi], N i the PS-Pack R-postion counted from the outsides N= 1,2,3,4,5 for M1 and N=1,2,...9 for M3.

there are 5 types of cables
at the ASD connector, put another tag to show the layer number , the format is like 1-L1,
here the first "1" means the earlier read out channels, the "2 "corresponds later channels. The "L1" means the layer number to be read. At the Triplet (M1) Li , i=1,2,3. at the double (M2 and M3) Li , i=1,2.
